Sabotage Galactica

A mash-up masterpiece. This isn’t just a bunch of BSG clips set to the Beastie Boys tune, they edited the footage to mirror the original Sabotage video.

If you’ve never seen the original video click here or you can watch them both at the same time here.

TV Show Spoilers!

Here’s a new official plot description for Caprica, the TV movie prequel to Battlestar Galactica that may launch a new series:

Set 50 years before Battlestar Galactica, Caprica follows two rival families – the Greystones and the Adamas – as they grow, compete, and thrive in the vibrant world of the 12 Colonies. Enmeshed in the burgeoning technology of artificial intelligence and robotics that will eventually lead to the creation of the Cylons, the two houses go toe-to-toe. Caprica will deliver all of the passion, intrigue, political backbiting, family conflict and hardcore action that always leaves Galactica fans begging for more.

Heroes season three may finally reveal what Angela Petrelli’s superpower is — and it’s something dangerous and potentially harmful. Also, Angela probably won’t get a boyfriend next season. But actressChristine Rose believes her character hooked up with both Linderman and Kaito Nakamura. In fact, Linderman may be Nathan and Peter’s dad, while Angela may be Hiro’s mom. Or maybe not. Also, Adam will be back within the first six episodes of the new season.

The new season apparently ends with Mickey walking away with Martha andCaptain Jack… leaving the Doctor alone. But where’s Rose? Has shealready disappeared by this point? Or is she waiting in the TARDIS?

And meanwhile a new article claims the Cybermen will be back once again, in this year’s Christmas special.

Doctor Who: 5th Season and BSG Final Season

From AICN/BBC:

  1. “Who’s” 13-episode fourth season (or 30th, depending upon whether or not one counts the show’s first 26 seasons) – the one starring Catherine Tate – began shooting last month and will hit the BBC in spring 2008. (America’s SciFi Channel is currently transmitting season three-slash-29).
  2. In 2009 three “specials” overseen by “Queer As Folk” mastermind Russell Davies will arrive at the Beeb.
  3. Season five (or 31), presumably comprised of 13 episodes, will hit the BBC in 2010.
  4. Viewers are in for a treat this Christmas, as a special episode starring David Tennant and Kylie Minogue will be broadcast on BBC One in December 2007.

And from a Battlestar Galactica Q&A at DragonCon:

There are 20 episodes in the final season and the plan now from Sci-Fi is to show 10 of them in Feb. of 2008 and then wait until Feb. of 2009 to show the final 10!

The end of Battlestar Galactica

The big news yesterday is that the Sci Fi Channel drama “Battlestar Galactica” will end next year after its fourth season.

“Battlestar” will begin its fourth season with a two-hour episode in November. It will then return in early 2008 to finish out its 22-episode run.

Other than that Scott and I finished up the super secret proposal for the Comic Book Challenge, now we just wait and see what happens.

Superman Returns

Last Saturday I got horribly ill after being exposed to Typhoid Mary which has drained me of any and all energy that I had. It also ruined any plans that I may have had for the long weekend. Being laid up did give me the chance to catch up on Boston Legal, Heroes, and BSG. I was also able to sneak in a couple of episodes of Dr. Who.

I did manage to get the new World of Orenda script finished as well as next weeks Weirdlings. Now I just have a pile of other work to finish up.

Watched Superman Returns last night, it wasn’t that bad, it had some cool moments and I liked the flying effect.

Read that Dave Cockrum (X-men artist) died. Very sad.

I can’t seem to escape the pictures of Britney Spears shaved privates which apparently she enjoys showing off by not wearing panties. Didn’t anyone tell her that less is more?

Saw my coworker eat an 8 patty burger from Wendy’s today.
